Preparing for a walk - what's your personal checklist?

Of course it will depend on the walk, but I usually check the weather forecast and take the bare minimum. Lightweight waterproofs, wind shirt, gloves, hat, and Camelbak for water, and a small amount of food, but nothing too heavy.

Its so easy to over pack for your walk, especially with clothes that spend 99% of their time in your pack, but keeping dry is probably the most important thing - you can cope with a bit of cold so long as you're dry.

It'll be interesting to see how you all prepare for a walk, so let's see what your checklist looks like ... :smile:
