Came across this on another walking site and people seemed to be in two minds over whether this is a good thing or not:

On the plus side some thought that removing the boundaries, stopping farming, and leaving nature to "get on with it" was a cracking idea and a great way to restore the land to its former beauty and an excellent way of helping to restore certain species populations.

On the minus side some thought it was a lazy and thoughtless approach to land management - throwing away the work of generations of previous farming families - and the idea of hacking through an overgrown, weed-strewn, landscape with wild animals an ever present danger and a "law of the jungle" survival of the fittest amongst the species that live there, was not the ideal that the project seemed to be "selling".

Have any of you heard or read about the project or maybe even visited the area?
