Just pedalled part of the way here from cyclechat, got off the bike and walked the rest of the way. Seemed appropriate.
Lucky to live in good walking country and looking forward to spending time here and reading some interesting stuff about our shared pastimes.

My sister lives in Malton, we've done a little walking on the moors.

Its a hill called Roseberry Topping a local landmark and that photo is of some mountain bikers up there at night.

I wondered if it was Roseberry topping.
Did the Cleveland Way earlier that year, lunch on Roseberry Topping with a hoard of teenagers up from the nearby town. No peace, so we left. About a minute from the top there was an almighty crack and a thunderstorm started - impressive lightning and thunder, very close. I half wish we'd still been on the top to see the reaction of all the kids in jeans and T-shirts (we were in full walking gear, fleeces and cags, it wsan't warm).

I always think of desserts from the 70s when I hear the name (Dream Topping, anyone?)
