Why do they have to mess with the beautiful landscape everywhere these days? The attraction of the Lake District is the place itself, and there are enough thrills to be got from it.

I’m off there in February and so will let you know my thoughts on my return. I’m not sure it is known for its surfing, but certainly walking and scenery appear to look fantastic.
